Luigi is Mario's less famous brother. Having first appeared in Mario Bros. as a palette swap, Luigi eventually grew into his own, distinctive character.

Luigi acts a lot like Mario. Luigi and Mario have a lot in common because they are both brothers. Though Mario is more adventurous, Luigi can never turn down an offer to explore or save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Luigi first appeared in Mario Bros. He partners with Mario and battles creatues that come out of the pipes. It is one of his first adventures and the one that introduced both characters' official names (before, Mario was known as "Jumpman").
