Cart-BombAssault

Assault is a video game on the Atari 2600 developed and published by Bomb in 1983. The game involves shooting alien space ships.

Gameplay[]

Assault

The player is presented with an alien mother ship, which continually deploys three smaller ships during play. The mother ship and the smaller vessels shoot at a weapon the player is in command of, and the player's aim is to eliminate the opposition whilst preventing the weapon from receiving enough fire to destroy it. The player uses a joystick to operate the game, and only one player at a time can play. The game program is stored on a cartridge.

Bad Reception[]

Many gamers have reviewed this game as a clone or rip-off of Galaxian, Demon Attack and Phoenix. Other gamers have said the game to be unoriginal.
